We are currently seeking a skilled Brake Press Operator in the Smithville, TN area for 2nd shift. As a Brake Press Operator, you will be responsible for setting up and operating brake press machinery to bend, form, and straighten metal plates and sheet metal according to specifications. The ideal candidate will have experience in operating brake press equipment, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate brake press machinery to bend, form, and straighten metal plates and sheet metal
• Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and production schedules to determine job specifications
• Select and install appropriate tooling, dies, and fixtures according to job requirements
• Adjust machine settings to ensure proper alignment, angle, and dimensions of bends
• Monitor machine operations to detect any defects or malfunctions
• Inspect finished parts for accuracy and quality
• Perform routine maintenance on machinery as needed
• Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Proven experience as a Brake Press Operator or similar role
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings
• Strong mathematical skills and ability to accurately measure dimensions
• Knowledge of brake press machinery operation and maintenance
• Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods
• Excellent attention to detail and manual dexterity
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot machinery issues
• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
